BBC iPlayer comes to freesat

5th December 2009 - StreamedTV

From December 7th a beta version of BBCiPlayer will launch on the freesat platform. This test version is believed to be available to journalists and industry insiders with the full version made available to all before Christmas.

This will be the first time that BBCiPlayer will be made available via a free to air broadcasterfreesatlogo

All existing freesat equipment will be compatible with the service, which can be accessed by connecting your box/integrated TV to your Broadband router via the onboard ethernet connector.

itvplayer is set to be added in 2010.
