Watch a clip from Netflix’s the first original Italian series – Suburra

Suburra: The Series – Netflix’s the first original Italian series – will debut on October 6th, the streaming giant has announced.

Based on the novel of the same name but set several years previous, Suburra: The Series is a crime thriller set in Rome which describes how the Church, the State, and organized crime collide and blur the lines between the legal and the illicit in their savage quest for power.

At the heart of the story, we find three young men: Numero 8 (Alessandro Borghi), Spadino (Giacomo Ferrara) and Lele (Eduardo Valdarnini) with different backgrounds, ambitions, and passions who will have to forge alliances to realize their deepest desires.

Other characters include Sara Monaschi (Claudia Gerini), Amedeo Cinaglia (Filippo Nigro), Samurai (Francesco Acquaroli) and Manfredi Anacleti (Adamo Dionisi).
