YouView: 140 content providers interested in joining

25th August 2012 - StreamedTV@streamedtv

YouView combines broadcast channels with broadband delivered content
Independent production companies, major brands and charities have expressed an interest in joining YouView.

YouView combines broadcast channels with broadband delivered content from catch-up services such as the BBC’s iPlayer and optional pay per view and subscription content.

Marketing Week reports Tristia Clarke, commercial director at YouView shareholder TalkTalk, telling the Media Guardian Edinburgh International Television Festival that more than 140 organisations have contacted YouView since it launched last month.

We’ve previously speculated about who some of these content providers could be.
