BT TV has updated its Apple and Android app, adding a new, dedicated kids’ on-demand and catch-up library, seven more channels and a “fantastic collection” of catch-up content from its pay channels.
As well as a new range of content the app has has been rebadged as the BT TV app, having previously been known as BT TV Everywhere.
New channels available include Alibi, Eden, GOLD, Good Food, Home and Watch as well as the recently rebranded Sony Channel.
Customers can also access Catch Up from their subscription channels, including AMC, HISTORY, MTV, Sony, Syfy and the UKTV Play service, meaning that shows such as Manhattan, Ex On The Beach and Killjoys can be watched when out and about.
BT says it’ll add more content “in the future”.
Antonia Barton, general manager, BT TV product, said: “The new BT TV app is much better all round – it is much easier to use and gives you great TV shows to enjoy when you’re out and about.
“The new kids’ section is great for children, as they can find their favourite shows within a dedicated section of the app.
“Plus there’s so much more content, whether you’re looking for something like Britain’s Next Top Model from Lifetime on Subscription Catch Up or you want to watch a classic comedy on UKTV’s GOLD channel.”
