Fans of Prime Video’s epic fantasy series The Wheel of Time can now watch the first scene from Season Two.
The streaming service has added the scene to the end of the Season One finale episode in a move it says reflects the habit of author Robert Jordan, whose books the series is based on, to include the first chapter of the next book at the end of each novel.
The newly available scene is an adaptation of the fan favourite “Darkfriend Social” prologue of the second novel of Jordan’s series, The Great Hunt, upon which Season Two is largely based.
Also including some elements of Jordan’s third novel, The Dragon Reborn, the second season will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on 1st September in more than 240 countries and territories around the world.
The series was filmed in the Czech Republic, Morocco, and Italy, and stars Rosamund Pike as Moiraine Damodred, Daniel Henney as Lan Mandragoran, Josha Stradowski as Rand al’Thor, Zoë Robins as Nynaeve al’Meara, Madeleine Madden as Egwene al’Vere, Marcus Rutherford as Perrin Aybara, Dónal Finn as Mat Cauthon, and Ceara Coveney as Elayne Trakand.
