Netflix has acquired global rights (outside China) to The Red Sea Diving Resort, a new film from Homeland creator Gideon Raff starring Chris Evans, Greg Kinnear and Ben Kingsley.
Inspired by one of the most remarkable true life rescue missions ever, the film tells the incredible story of a group of Mossad agents and brave Ethiopians who in the early 80s used a deserted holiday retreat in Sudan as a front to smuggle thousands of refugees to Israel.
Evans plays Ari Kidron, the Mossad agent who leads the mission together with courageous local Kabede Bimro, played by Michael Kenneth Williams.
The cast also includes Haley Bennett, Alessandro Nivola, Michiel Huisman and Chris Chalk.
Raff directed and wrote the ffilm which is being produced by BRON Studios and will be released later this year.
