BBC Player, the broadcaster’s commercial on demand and catch-up app, has launched in Malaysia after the broadcaster’s commercial arm struck a deal with HyppTV, the IPTV service from Telekom Malaysia Berhad.
The service, which is available exclusively to HyppTV subscribers, will let viewers watch selected shows from BBC Worldwide’s global brands BBC First, BBC Brit, BBC Earth, BBC Lifestyle, CBeebies, as well as BBC World News.
Under the deal, the service will offer exclusive access to the new series of Top Gear, SS-GB, Doctor Who, as well as Planet Earth II, The Great British Bake Off and The Graham Norton Show.
