Amazon Prime Video has scopped UK, Austrian, German and Japanese rights to Martin Freeman and Adam Brody’s new series, Start Up.
Made by Sony Pictures Television, the drama explores what happens when a brilliant yet controversial tech idea gets incubated on the wrong side of the tracks.
When three strangers, including financier Nick Talman (Brody), are forced to fund a company with dirty money and form ties with a Haitian gang, their fight to build a business pales in comparison to the fight to stay alive.
Specialising in financial crimes, vehement FBI agent Phil Rask (Freeman) wields the power to make or break those he comes in contact with — and that power is not always used for the right reasons.
Amazon Prime members will be able to enjoy the series from 8th November when the first episode launches, with new episodes being added weekly.
The series is available to anyone with an Amazon Prime subscription or standalone monthly subscription to the Prime Video service. Amazon Prime Video can be accessed on selected Smart TVs, via smartphone and tablet apps and via Amazon’s Fire TV stick and Fire TV.
