Amazon Prime Video has snagged the rights to A+E Studios’ UnREAL, a “dramatic dark comedy” which takes the audience behind the scenes of the fictional dating reality TV show ’Everlasting’.
All ten episodes of the first season will be available on Amazon Prime from 7th June along with the first episode of the new second season, with new episodes launching each week after that, shortly after their US broadcast.
Reality TV producer Rachel Goldberg (Shiri Appleby) returns to the new season of ‘Everlasting’ after having a mental breakdown the season before.
With a reputation to rebuild and the show’s demanding executive producer Quinn King (Constance Zimmer) breathing down her neck, Rachel must pull out all the stops in what she does best: manipulating the contestants to create the outrageous drama the viewers of ‘Everlasting’ expect.
The series stars Shiri Appleby (Girls) as Rachel Goldberg, Constance Zimmer (House of Cards, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) as Quinn King, Craig Bierko (Equity) as Chet Wilton, Freddie Stroma (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) as Adam Cromwell, and Josh Kelly (Transformers: Dark of the Moon) as Jeremy Caner.
“We’re pleased to be able to bring this celebrated show to Amazon Prime members in the UK and Germany,” said Jay Marine, VP Amazon Prime Video EU.
“Joining Golden Globe winners like Mozart in the Jungle, Transparent; the forthcoming Clarkson, Hammond and May show, The Grand Tour; Mr Robot, Outlander and many others, unREAL is a great addition to our line-up of TV shows you can’t watch anywhere else.”
